which I know
which I like the sound
and taste of
another melodious word
which the teacher used today
and which i did not know
but immediately liked the sound
and taste of
is "tantalizing"
I looked it up in the dictionary
now, knowing its meaning,
the word is broadening
into a dazzling perspective of magic prisms
conjured up from the drop of a word

Is "Peculiar is a funny word" supposed to be your seed phrase? I can't quite comprehend how you got that by reading backwards, because then you must have scribbled 'word funny a is peculiar' which seems unlikely...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I like the poem, which is a meatpoem, i.e. words about words. It has a nice metaphor with the prism, and the poem itself opens up the way you describe the word doing. Nice!
