my last duchess

Dear Jone:

How are you lately? For me I never feel so good for years. Erevything seems undercontrol now and I would love to invite you to visit my last Duchess painting. Surely you remember her, right? She simled to you last time when we met, yes, she was always so happy, smiled to every man. But now she can only smile to the one I allowed since there's a curtain I put for her and can only be drawn by me!

Do you remember last time we met? We were riding round the the trrrace. She was so joyful, liked whatever she looked on and her looks went everywhere.Just before we met you some officious fool broke the bough of cherries for her, she was over-joyed and thanked him, oh she thanked everyman and treat their stupid gifts as the same as my nine-hunderd-years-old name, I cannot stand for that, I wanted to lecture her what she did disgust me, what she had missed and what she exceed! But I didn't, it's such a shame for me to lucture her! Then you passed, she smiled to you, to everyman passed, here I was overbared, I commanded, the smile has to be stoped!

Then it stoped, here she is under my full control as an image on the wall. She cannot play the coquette; she cannot protest or disobey my commands; she cannot do anything except smile out at me and to anyone else I allows to view the portrait. Please come and visit the painting and she will smile to you again!

The Duke

My last duchess (new version)

Marta Durá Francés

My last duchess (new version)

Flavio looked at the picture, biting his mouth lower lip with anger. His precious Ferrara appeared so absolutely wonderful in that photograph. She was smiling at him, Francesc Padol. Deep down a burning pain started to spread again.
He was madly in love with her, but he could not defeat Francesc.
At the beginning Francesc was just one more among those foolish men who tried to seduce her without success. However, he was different...he always seemed to know what she was thinking, what she wanted to listen, what she long for...what she needed in every single moment. She was not able to resist him, she could not contain herself anymore and she lost all her strenght. She even allowed him to paint her.
She was always a lovely creature, she liked whatever she look on, she was always satisfied...so easy to make happy. That was the only thing Flavio hated about her; her constant happy mood. She never got angry, she never complained about nothing...she never got bothered...she smiled at anybody trying to comfort everyone...trying to cheer them up...
Flavio did not like her behaviour, her constant delight by anything...because he wished her smiles and naivety to be just for him.
Clearly, the finest smiles were dedicated to Francesc, her most charming ogles were for him, her passionate sighs...all was for Francesc not for him, her true fiancé.
Full of hatred and unable to endure his sorrow, Flavio took his dagger and left home. His steps went along the pathway that just a few minutes ago Ferrara and Francesc had crossed. With his blood throbing in his temples, and all those images torturing him...he smiled, smiled...a terrifying and deformed smile ripped his face.

Last Duchess - Re-Written

My Dearest Love

If, by some misfortune you should be reading this, it is proof that I am no longer with you.
I wish for you to remember me, but not to pine over me. Remember me but move on all the same. Though our time we had together was brief I cherish it beyond anything and would not wish to replace it for any other.
We both knew from the beginning what the ending would be and we both went in to the relationship with full-hearted commitment.
I am the outmost proud as to call you my husband. If I am to leave the world in such a way I am glad that to be your wife shall be my last venture. My only regret is the amount of time I cannot be with you. If I had but one wish left in the world it would be to spend more time with you my darling.
You have truly been my prince upon the white horse and made my final days upon this earth the best a lady can ask for.
I remember the day I met you in the gardens. It had been just an ordinary day for me, but you made it into the best day of my life. I will always remember you from that day, the way you walked up briskly without a care in the world and asked for my name when you handed me that single rose. You had such an air of elegance and at the same time mischief over you and I remember myself thinking that this was a man I must know. How I dread to think what would have happened had I not let myself get to know you.
I will forever treasure that first day we met, walking in the gardens talking of everything and nothing, watching the sun make its way down the horizon by the end of the day, and feeling your hand in mine for the very first time.
I have kept that rose ever since, as a memory of our first day together. You always said I was too easy to please, but that has only been truthful with whatever you granted me. Since that first rose I found all you did for me perfect. I remember all the gifts you brought for me, for which I would praise myself, the luckiest lady in the lands for such a husband as you.
And all you asked of me was my smile, which I gave up so easily for it was for you. You could have asked anything of me and I would have granted it to you. That the only thing you asked for was my smile proves how gentle a man you are, and always will be.
I have merely one request now that I have gone; do not hate me for having let you down in my final days. I can already feel it tearing in me and my strength are weakening, and my smiles are already fading. Please do not resent me for not granting you your only wish. Had my body the same strength as when we first met, I would give you all the smiles in the world. I am ashamed to admit the toll this has taken on me.
I now know what my life has led up to; it was for me to unite with you. Sadly it was to happen at the time it did, leaving us little time together.
Now that I have gone I wish for you to be the man I know you can be, even when I am no longer by your side. Be the man I first learned to know and love, be the man that I will always remember, even after I have departed you.
My final wish for you is to not make the mistake of not moving on and letting me go. I know there will be a time after I have gone and you ought to live it to the fullest.

Know this; my heart is yours and will always be yours. Along with the rest of me it will be waiting for you in the afterlife. Until then, go out and live the life I will not have the chance to experience.

Yours forever truly

The Untold Story

Dizziness. A stream of blood drizzled from her forehead to the bottom of her cheek. She wiped it away habitually as she gazed at the broken image of herself. The nightmare ended tonight she thought as she rose gracefully as the flower itself from the crystal encrusted chair. She hated that chair. As she moved gracefully towards the tower window, she heard the identifiable steps of her spouse – and master. She moved quickly now as if she was within the grasp of Lucifer himself. Tying the knitting to the candlestick on the wall she reminisced about her blissful childhood before the brutal slaughtering of her family and abduction of herself led her to become a household slave and wife of her demon. She crawled out on the ledge and started descending down the slippery tower wall that the rain symbolically had wetted during the dark day. The door burst open and the duke raged toward the open window. Through the curtain of rain his wife was escaping before his sight. Struggling through incredulity and distress the duke quickly drew his rapier and slashed the improvised rope. A shrilling scream broke the silence as the duchess fell to the ground. The spring green grass gave a thump as she landed and then the silence was deafening again. Red liquid softened the earth as her white enthralling dress, golden hair and red spirit slowly overtook the canvas of the ground. As the duke’s eyes got used to the dark he watched the painting in disarray, and caught a glimpse of the shadow of a figure lurking near a winding tree.

Feeding line: Soil fertile of thinking

As if I never thought of you.
As if we never were.
The sneer, the mere neglect of you.
The thought of going back to you,
ougth never to appear.

Futile female
Unfolded folds

As if you never spoke of me.
As if we never were.
The gentleness, the scent of me
The seed of trust you gave to me,
ought always be submerged.

Female folds
Unfolded futilely

The soil fertile of thinking.

REMEMBER

Hear the sound of rain falling on leaves
Making ringlets in already existing puddles
Coating my face as I raise my eyes to the sky

Misty hills in the distance
Obscured by a curtain of rain
Almost grey in the darker light of a storm
The lush green gone for a moment

Waves hurtling towards cliffs
White foam disrupting the greys and blacks
Hear the gods drumming in the sky
Thunder rolling, in a fight between elements

A breeze so sweet it nearly floors me, kills me
I taste salt and wilderness in the wind
I remember warm sand between my toes
Scalding sand beneath my feet making me dance

Summers by the sea
Bathing, laughing, running, exploring
What life would I have had if I’d stayed?

I wonder if it is too late
Go back changed as I am?
The people I left behind will forgive me for leaving
They will forgive me
Like the hills will, like the rain will

Of all places in the world where I’ve been
This place the sweetest

backward reading: Lee smiled at

He looked at the laptop, he saw his new face and actually he liked it, . There he was, far away from home, where he might never go back, with a new identity, a new life.HE, Lee, the traitor.

The story begun just 8 months ago, after they shot this fella, he could be maybe 18 or 20.he thought he was brave, smart, clever than that bunch of cretins, he played with the mafia, and he lost he life, but they could just left him go, nothing would had change. Lee, that was the boy´s name. And ironically Lee was the name the police chose for him when they decided to give him a new identity, just after he betrayed his comrades.

Those were rainy days, when he was afraid of going out at night , to be shot himself ,afraid of surgery, afraid of the unknown, of his coming life.

And, in fact it took him a long time to smile again, not to think in Lee, laying in the floor surrounded by blood.

Writing Game - Shakespeare's Sonnet 18

Wordle: Sonnet 18

Louise & Michelle

Breath out of breathing.

Breath out of breathing.

The trick to being loved by Kerouac is not to never yawn, but to never let him see you do it. Everybody yawns. Roman-candle madmen do not live like explosions, they flutter and they stutter, go dormant and then they start all over again, waging battle on themselves and their surroundings.

"No, I am over here."

I once loved a woman who was married. She thought I was dangerous. I was not. I was in love, and I was a little mad, but not dangerous.
We would meet in secret, that is, by feigning merely friendship. Some lovers meet in the darkness, whispering sweet passwords to each other: "Hark! who goes there?" "The eagle, and it is landing." - and then they swoop down on each other like birds of prey, and if your heart is too timid, that is where the eagles land. Of course, that's part of the game for everyone. Not just secret lovers.

She once asked me why I didn't smoke. I asked her why, she said, you're so neurotic. It would suit you. It's in fashion to smoke if you're neurotic, she said; it will never go out of style for madmen, thin, blue-lipped. Insomniac eyes like empty ashtrays.
Perhaps a loosely tied tie to complete the set.
I said I was not a character in a book. She did not understand.

When we first met, I was quieter, more down-to-earth. Slow. Not seeing things clearly.
I drank as much coffee as now. I was still a night person. I have always been a night-person, in much the same way that some people are cat-people and some people are dog-people. It's not so much a hatred of the day, it's a preference, if the choice is given, for the night.
I was working night shifts at a 7-11. It was an easy job, and I spent much time reading, and meditating.
Meditation is simple, but not easy. You lower yourself into yourself, and you let the walls bloom and you start thinking about breathing. It's a circle: Breath out of breathing. You live by living. You do not judge the world, you merely observe it. You do not observe, you are merely observing.
No wonder the old buddhists had fun messing with their students. What is the sound of one hand clapping indeed.

She would come in every night around midnight or so. Like a ghost, except, she was full of life. She had a tan. She was fit, but not too fanatically desperately God-I-Must-Be-Perfect fit. She looked tired every night, more tired every every night. She worked the late shift in a cafe which closed at nine, which was why she came in every night, and at least part of the reason why she looked the way she did. She had to, to keep her job.
We started talking. We started meeting each other in cafes, in our apartments, and in general. It was friendship at first, brought on by small-talk, and then it was an affair, brought on by more small-talk. Love is a thing of small words and smaller gestures.
She made me feel more normal. Which I guess is ironic, considering that I became stranger in the time that I met her. More manic. More energetic. More more of everything. I became someone else, sometimes radically so, and for some reason, she was the one who held onto me, through the changes. Perhaps she was in love as well. Perhaps that was why she ignored it when I began to talk in a louder voice. When I stopped showering for days at a time, and when I would disappear for weeks, partying.
Perhaps she was envious of my transformations, even as she saw how they were ruining me. She felt guilty about our affair, and wanted to be someone else on one level or another. A better person.

"No, I am over here. I am someone else."

In the end, it was too much, even for her. She was very patient. Too patient. The last time I saw her, I was drunk the way a bird is drunk on berries. It was New Years Eve, and the fireworks were in the sky, magnificent and dangerous and mad. She was drunk as well, the way old people are drunk in the suburbs. But she carried drunkenness with style. It's odd, how some people never lose their cool.
She was shouting at me, and I was laughing. She cried. I laughed some more, and she called me mad.
I remember being alone, later the same night. I was crying, and afraid of the fireworks outside. When I woke up the next morning, I had hurt my hand. I do not know why. I do not remember, and honestly, I do not care to. That was a different me. I sat at a long time, staring at my broken hand, trying to think and not think about the previous night. Outside, the children were using throwing their last, sad fireworks in the street. I got up, showered, and went outside to find a doctor for my hand, and for my head. It was January one, and the children were saving up for new fireworks.

Open to key

Open to key, he needs a key to open

A life of a guy who locked up himself in the room

He lighted up his cigarette as he used to, smokes were polishing his pale slim face, and his eyebrows twisted toward the dark blue sky, letting smokes continue to roll his teeth. It was 2:30 in the morning, and caffeine stayed him awake.

Then he turned on the computer and let himself sank into the monitor and entered to the world of moving pictures: guns and blood crossed over his vision and anxiety was provoked by this stimulation. And he couldn't hear anything.

Anxiety continued until the sun came out, sunshine shone on his face, telling him it was the time to sleep; he hardly pulled himself out of the monitor and switched it off. One more cigarette before sleep and nicotine interestingly leaded him to his dream.

He always smokes next to his table, and it is always full of stuffs - food that he had left behind in the middle of the night, stains of sauce that dried into jelly form, and little flies play on this jelly ground; cups and cups of coca-cola, with ice cubes floating and dissolving on top of it, and dust covering the surface.

Smokes were everywhere in the room. Cigarettes were burning out quickly, boxes by boxes.

The air was dead here, no conversations, and no interactions. Although he was doing his business, his eyes were dead on the monitor, his business had become a routine, without any meaning.

There were many things he would like to say to you, but he lost his key to
open his door.

And nobody can find the key for him, only the one inside him can.
